Teachings from Nancy Dufresne

“Fulfilling God’s Plan, Part 2” by Nancy Dufresne
(Last month we started a three-part teaching on how to fulfill the plan of God. Let’s continue on with that teaching this month.)
Paul finished his course, and in Acts 20, he gives us a divine check list of the six steps he took to fulfill God’s plan. “And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20:22-24).
#1 — Bound in the Spirit
“I go BOUND in the spirit unto Jerusalem….” What was “Jerusalem?” The place where God told him to be.
Our “Jerusalem” is the place where God told us to be. Be “bound” inwardly to where God told you to be, and don’t be swayed from it for anything or anyone. (See Part 1 for this complete teaching.)

"Whose Report Will You Believe?" by Nancy Dufresne
Colossians 2:15 reads, “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” Since Jesus defeated Satan, spoiling principalities and powers, the only power Satan has left is the power of suggestion. He will suggest something to your mind to try to deceive you into believing it so that he can work it against you.
I like what God said to one minister: “When Satan suggests thoughts and images to you, it is much like the filming of a movie. When you watch a movie in the theater, even if something happens that you don't like, you're aware that it isn’t real – it’s just a movie, it’s just pretend.”
