World Harvest Church in the Park: Sundays at 9 am
• Because our governor has ordered some further restrictions for the state that affect Riverside County, including again closing down inside dining of restaurants, it looks like it could be awhile before the whole congregation could be allowed to gather.
• Because there is no limit on outdoor gatherings in CA, we are having our Sunday morning services down in the church park.
• It is open to our entire congregation – everyone is invited!
• Service will begin at 9 am, but we are asking you to arrive no later than 8:40 am to allow time for parking, walking down to the park, and setting up your seating.
• We will have abbreviated preliminaries (songs, announcements, etc.) so the entire service may be shorter than usual.
• We are permitting only those who are ages 65 and older to drive their cars down to the park. Everyone else will park in an upper parking lot and walk down to the park on the marked path.
• Dress code will be business casual, encouraging ladies to wear pants. We are also requiring that everyone, including all the children, wear closed-toe walking shoes due to the environment. You may wear clothing that is loose and cool, but nothing revealing, like shorts, halter tops, or spaghetti-strap tops. Again, please make it business casual, remembering that it is a church service.
• Please bring your own lawn chairs for seating, including one for each child. (Please no blankets on the ground for seating.) When you arrive, we will direct you to the areas where you can set up chairs for your family. Please practice social distancing between family groups.
• Lawn or camp chairs can usually be purchased at drug stores, Walmart, Target, or sporting goods stores.
• You may also bring an E-Z Up or umbrellas for shade.
• You may want to bring water bottles and sunscreen.
• This is NOT a park day, so we ask that you keep your children with you at all times and not allow them to run around the park.
• Because this is a church service and not a park day, the playground, the volleyball court, and the water stream will be roped off and off limits during this church service.
• Please do not bring pets, remembering that this is a church service.
• The church restrooms will be open, but we are requesting that you use them before the service, so please make sure that everyone, especially the children, use the restroom before or after the service.
• We believe it’s important to have the church family in attendance together, because the church is not the building, it’s the people!
• If you are not able to attend or are uncomfortable attending, we will be livestreaming the service only through Facebook Live.
• Our Sunday prayer services and Tuesday night services will still take place in the church sanctuary. Sunday prayer at 4 pm in the sanctuary is still open to everyone, but for Tuesday services, you will still be called for your turn to attend.
• If you have any questions, please feel free to call the church office. We hope to see you down at the church park this Sunday!
